Artist's Description

Heritage Festival day in Hope Town, Elbow Cay (Abaco, Bahamas). Teenage girls in period costumes parade the narrow street of the settlement to celebrate their ancestors' journey. On September 1, 2019, Hurricane Dorian almost destroyed the cay. But the resilient people of Hope Town look forward to rebuilding despite the challenges ahead.
